As I searched for your letters
one one by one
the house was filled
with cactus and storms.
Inside the dot-by-dot scene
the wall appeared.
When the golden sun disappears
from the rice fields for a moment…
a single drop of salty water
stands before you
Then the chest aanchal was untidy
the eye’s kajol just a mess
The tip of forehead turned into kanchpoka
& crawling inside the chimney… crawling.
Suddenly, the sky was covered
in dark clouds
When I walk from dusk to evening…
from evening to the depths of the night… nothing remains within my feelings.

Notes :
1) Aanchal –
The loose end (or border) of Indian woman’s sari (or cloth).
2) Kajol –
The traditional eye cosmetic, typically made from soot or charcoal, used to enhance the eyes and create a smoky, dramatic look. Indian women use kajol
(or kohl).
3) Tip –
Tip is a coloured dot or, in modern times, a sticker worn on the centre of the forehead, originally by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists.
This is a bright dot of some colour applied in the centre of the forehead close to the eyebrows or in the middle of the forehead that is worn in the Indian subcontinent.
4) Kanchpoka –
This is a species of green beetle.
The wing of this greem beetle is used by Indian women to adom their foreheads.
